Watercolor tree symbolizing emotional safety with roots of authenticity and support.

My Approach

What makes my therapeutic approach unique is the way my life, my values, and my professional training weave together into a practice that is both grounded and deeply compassionate. I am a steadfast and persevering presence for my clients. My own journey has required grit, resilience, and the willingness to rise again and again, and those experiences shape the way I sit with others in their pain, their uncertainty, and their becoming.

How My Journey and Experience Influence My Practice

With over 12 years of experience in the mental health field, including 7 years as a licensed counselor, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan in community mental health, child welfare, educational, and integrated care settings. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Family and Child Studies from Northern Illinois University. My education and professional experience have afforded me a deep understanding of the complex ways personal challenges, relationships, and social dynamics intersect. More importantly, these experiences have fostered a strong sense of humility and a genuine passion for helping people navigate the emotional and relational challenges that impact their psychological well-being.

My Mission

It is sacred work to witness someone’s evolution, and I approach each person with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for their journey. Authenticity and emotional safety are the heartbeat of my work. I strive to create a space where clients feel not only welcomed, but deeply invited to show up as they are, without pretense or pressure. I believe that when people feel genuinely seen and accepted, they can begin to loosen the armor they have carried for so long. Within that safety, honesty becomes possible, vulnerability becomes less frightening, and meaningful change begins to take root.
